The Tempe play equipment is a feast for the eyes as it sits like a tropical oasis in the middle of the playground thanks to the five gorgeous Palm Tree Toppers which provide sufficient shade from the hot sun. The hexagon platform is a central feature from which other exciting activities extend including two Straight Slides which emerge in opposite directions for fun downward travel. The platform can be accessed either by scaling the Pea Pod Climber which extends up like a growing plant with leaves on each side, or by scrambling diligently up the rocky bank of the Figure Climber which gives kids the feeling of hiking in the mountains. There’s a Bench Panel underneath the slide so children can hear others whizzing past above them, a Rain Wheel to bring the sound of splashing water to this rainforest setting, plus a Gear Panel and Ship’s Wheel to inspire the imagination. On one end of the Tempe structure there is a lot going on. From a Pebble Step to climb up and Bubble Panel to look out of, to two Swinging Rings for gymnastic stunts and a Pull Up Bar to build upper body flexibility and strength.
